A Poem By Budgie

Well today hasnt gone to well for me.
The below is done in the style of Kesha - Tik Tok.
I had some time on the journey home to think of the lyrics.

---------------------------------------------------------

Wake up in the morning with no hot water and feeling shitty,

Put my hat on and exit the house to go buy some biccies.

Before I leave I grab my shuffle and earphones (3.5mm jack!)

Realise I’m leaving for the day coz I’m on my bike and won’t be coming back.

Ain’t got a care in the world coz I’m doing manuals and 180 hops,

Coasting down the road with my middle finger up as I’m passing the cops.

Now I’m having a sesh at the festival place bus station,

Where I accidently cycled over some glass and picked up a cunting vibration.

Now riding carefully towards home in the pouring rain,

I can’t help but feel that this a fucking shame.

I would have been better just to stay in bed on my day off,

Today sucks bollocks coz I’ve also got a twating cough.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you all have a good New Years and a better 2010 if we dont see you before then.

merry xmas

Well hope everyone had a good Xmas and got everything they wanted. The riding has been taking a bit of a back seat not because we not wanted to but the weather is doing its best to stop us. Having said that me and the Budge go out on our bikes two nights last week at the bus station. first night got moved on quite quickly so after faffing about moving the car we went and rode crown heights. steve got sickeningly close to foot jam whips while I pottered about and tryed 360 hops twas a good session. After a couple of hours of rididng we popped into town to say hello and happy bday to peeps.
Next day we were down the bus station again doing much of the same but this time we lasted a whole hour and a half before being moved on. I decided to call it a day at this point.
So am looking forward to the weather improving so I can ride some park again

Snowtastic

Well the snow hasnt stopped us from riding, its just slowed us down.

Only been out the bike twice since the last post and the weather has been poor throughout.

However due to a little shelter near the bus station we can ride in the dry albeit funking freezing.

Me and the Burbs had a good session last week and were joined by both bruzas and robbie, who are nuts.

Hopefully have another good session tonight.

Anywho have a pic of the snow

Midweek Update

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Havent done too much riding since the last update due to bad weather conditions :(

However did get to go out Friday during the day.
Apart from a lil ice on some of the ramps it was all good.

Tom 'Bruza' came down and 2tricks in just back flipped like it was nothing so props to him.

Would of stayed out longer and had a sesh with The Burbs but for family reasons had to cut it short.

Hopefully there will be a dry day/nite soon for another ride before we get hit with a blizzard....

Anywho keep it loose

Midweek Update - Wet

A little bmxing update for you, it’s wet :(
Thinking outdoor park sessions are going to be hard to get on this part of the year.
The good silver lining news for that is more indoor parks :)
I was suppose to have a bit of a street session with Nick last night.
Unfortunately laziness got the better of me and had a bit of a night ride by myself.

A nice (nearly empty) wet car park a minutes ride away from my house to have some fun with.
Not a lot of tricks went down but I did land my first hop 180 to half cab out after about 50 failed attempts.
But I was stoked with it. Probably be my new wet riding spot.

Last Minute Corby

A lot happened on a last minute road trip to Corby.
I won’t go into too much detail but I'll try my best to remember as much as possible.

So basically a wet Saturdays riding and a letdown of no warehouse session as it was stripped bare, we got the idea of a Sunday road trip to Corby.

What started out as 3peeps 3bikes 1car ended up with 10peeps and 4cars. (Nick, Parky, Tom, Rich, Silent Dave, Rayman, Crum, Ten, Burbs and myself)
After an hour or so faffin’ about we eventually made a start on the trip. (excluding the sneaky Burbs and Ten who shot off early)
It wasn’t long until we had to stop for Tom to pump up a flat car wheel and shortly after Rayman the tyre expert had to replace it while Rich got a shower.

After this 'little' setback we were back on roadtrip mode which consists of overtaking everything, swearing at each other, bumping into each other at standstills and generally getting lost.

Sometime later after losing Rayman and Crum around Bicester as they needed the toilet we made it with a convoy of two at Corby.

Some of the highlights I witnessed at Corby in no particular order:
Parky double peg the big ¼ and huge flairs into foam (not soo much on the resi but props for trying)
Burbs getting 720s in the foam pit & double pegs onto the big sub-box out of the bowl.
Phil generally impressed everyone. Props to him.
Crum x-up double peg grind 180 out
Bruza 540ing over the step-up, wallriding out of the bowl.
Rich rocking out everywhere. Fastplants and cans everywhere
Rayman did this 450 out of the bowl on to the sub-box to fakie in.
Nick whipping on the step up to toptube lander and boosting out of hit and nearly hitting his head on the support beams

Obviously there was lots of other stuff that happened but I was too busy loving Corby park.
Didn’t really get chance to take pics and vids of most of the day.
However Phil got a few snippets.

Tricks and Treating

Well Saturdays riding didn’t go down well. Mark and I had a fair few to drink on Friday night so we weren’t feeling to . . . fresh.
So we had some breakfast and we started riding.

Soon after realising we had no energy to do anything we called it a day.

Sunday looked like it will be a good days riding, weather was spot on. Just before leaving the house to go ride, it started to rain :(
So Nick suggested a sneaky warehouse session treat :)
After a little while sorting ourselves out and giving the place a sweep it was good to go :)

It wasn’t long till Nick whipped the sketchiest driveway you’ll ever see.
Parky was getting some good height on the wall ride.
I gave wall rides ago, which is the first time in five or so years.

Phil also joined us for a bit and took some photos.
Was quite a good session. Nice and chilled and no scooter fags anywhere.

Sunday Antics

So the weather was semi-decent to go out riding.
First stop was Oakley but after some time fixing my brake, Mark and I discovered it was still quite wet so headed to War Memorial.
Where we found out that it was packed with bmxers :(
It wasnt long till we saw flips, 540s, 360whips
We were also joined by 10 and Nick.
Got some riding done though.
Highlight for me was a 180 over the box

Which resulted in a fist bump.
If you feel left out you can bump the screen.

Was not on top form :/

Anywho Phil dropped in on the 1/4 so props to him.
Nick showed us all up with whips and what not.

sunday 17th

Well today was a story of two halves. Budge and phill both learned something new. steve manual on the deck and phill fotjam whips so props to them. Me on the otherhand things didnt go quite so well for. first fakie of the day and i somehow smacked my leg into my pedal (ouch), that kinda set the tone for the rest of the day. So for a couple of hours I merrily fell off. But after one to many falls admitidly quite a large fall off the top of the quarter, my evil alter ego "Moody Mark" came out (sorry for that fellas. Its ok though i did get punished for it :( I made the mistake of riding behind budge as he was fakieing the resulting crash ended up with me on the floor which hurt. so i went home battered and brused.
On a more light harted note here are some epic boobs we saw on saturday

epic

Anyway love you

Burbs

NightRiders

Well yesterday after fitting a new headset I decided I wanted to ride at night so I text the burbs and budgie and we arranged to meet up Bstoke skate park around 745ish.

I got there perfectly on time and budgie was already there so had a quick mess about, after about 10 mins of riding my headset became loose and nasty feeling, we took a look and desided I'd fitted it upside down :-( oh well, carry on.

Burbs arrived and after a bit of riding I actually switched out a few times and managed to drop in :-) scary shit as the ramps where starting to get wet...

Then another bike fault, this times Burbs' cranks came loose due to a missing spacer, we called it a day and went back to the car park for some quick maintenance, swapped my bearings round and it was all good :) Burbs managed to temp fix his bike today using a temp bolt and spacer.

Burbs and I then had a quick sesh up Oakley, i fell off grinding and twisted my ankle and got bars to the nuts :(
Burbs looked on form as usual...

Thats about all I have to say, no pics other than one of my car in the carpark...

I went for a little ride today all by my self. it went ok new forks are nice although saying that they have made 360's so much harder. im sure it just me being a mentalist but because of the forks I crashed hard doing one.
But because im not a pansy like a certain member of the group who belived he had achived death with just a small graze, I brushed myself down and carried on (love you phill xx).
anyway dunno what else to say so yep love you xx

Lets Take It Back To The Old Skool

Well it’s been a while since we’ve had an update due to wrong parts being sent from Winstanleys and being unable to ride.
But parts came, the sun came out and we rode.
The four of us tried out the new Oakley setup with guest appearances from old school Martin and Ryan.
Started off quite nice with no scooter fags getting in the way.
Trying all sort of moves out on the new box, ranging from fufanus and one footers to fake-ing to disasters.

Then a flood of scooter fags came and ruined it for us, where we retreated to Basingstoke.
The glorious sun was shining down and we all tried something new.
Some of the highlights.
The Burbs got double peg stalls of the sub box dialled.
Phil can drop in with no probs.
And I did the spine (1st time since Winklebury burned down)

And then out of nowhere Phil’s headset decided to explode.
So we packed up and left heading for Phil’s place to see the damage.
Took the stem off, then the spacers, then pulled the cover to see that the bearings have no housing.
So Phil is out of action.
While at Phil’s residence the Burbs swapped forks and grips where we nearly broke two sets of bar ends.

So after a good start to the weekends riding ended on a bit of a down.

Pics to follow

Can't Resist A Crumble

Well this weekend Loosefit had lots to drink, Sunday riding was quite unsuccessful with the major hangovers.

But on a brighter note the Burbs is getting closer to whips(painstakingly close)I'm still a fair bit off whips and had my first accident on a bike in a long long time practising them.

Some of the highlights of the weekends riding, nosedive 360s, fakey-ing the skatepark, Phil going up the box :) alleyoops on the 1/4 and those illusive whips

Lowlights: Hangover, stacking it and the cold weather

Bloody blisters!

War on memorial

Because the weather was so nice the Burbs and I headed off to War Memorial after work for a sesh.

Didnt really have the intention to learn new tricks and just go for a lil ride.

But it wasnt long till Burbs did an overclicked x up and I started doing 270s (which feels weird)

so after doubling the amount of riding we did at Oakley we rode away.

some of the tricks we failed at consist of 360s on the flat blank, 270 tyre taps, tyre tap to foot jam and of course whips but we're getting there.

Good sesh apart from tearing my hand to shreds with blisters, think some gloves are needed.

Loose Fit Rides

So yesterday was our first time out riding and it was cracking weather for it.

After a little delay fixing my chain, all four of us went out on way to ride Hook skatepark.

Think it was the 1st time for all of us not a bad little skatepark apart from the scooterfags.

It wasnt long until Phil got a puncture >_< After some time fixing it we then went and rode Oakley skatepark where we tried: abubucas/fufanus tiretaps tailwhips not a bad days ride if I do say so myself. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Death...

After taking a ride on sunday just gone, we concluded "death" only occurs if there is blood or broken bones, so the chalenge was set... Injure myself, which wasn't too hard being the least experienced of are little group...

After bottling it droping in and just trying to get at least some air up the Oakley skate park i realised that i was about to "die" but carried on regardless...

the result was bars to the crotch and blood :)
